You mount these black triangles on the ramp plate of the vario. This is the metal cover that goes on top of the vario rollers. You should always replace these guides when you replace the vario rollers. If one breaks, there is a big chance that your vario will break. You will then get play and metal on metal. A new vario is many times more expensive, so do not save on this and prevent high costs!
