Tested: The ECU achieves an average top speed of 65 to 70 km/h with a 4-stroke 3V version. This is in combination with the Malossi Multivar and correct adjustment. Please note, this can differ per scooter! It is important that you mount all parts correctly and set the ECU correctly according to the manual.

Important tips for mounting the Malossi ECU:

Make sure you follow all the steps in the manual. For example, after learning, you should idle for 15 minutes and then turn the ignition on and off 5 times. If you don't do this, the ECU may not idle properly or function properly!

The 5518205 Injtronic is Plug & play compatible with the original sensors and actuators. In other words; the ECU can be used with the original sensors and electronics. After installation in the scooter, only a simple throttle valve calibration is required to synchronize the electronic control system of the engine (the TPS sensor, 'Throttle Position Sensor', needs to be reset). This is clearly described in the installation instructions that you receive with the ECU, but we also explain it below. The calibrations and adjustment ensure a clear improvement in engine performance.

How to calibrate the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) of a Vespa Sprint/Primavera or Piaggio Zip iGET:

  • Place the throttle in the closed position and turn on the ignition, the check engine light will now flash.
  • Now turn the ignition off and then turn the ignition on and do this a total of 3 times in succession.
  • Now turn off the ignition and repeat the above steps with the throttle in the fully open position.

With this Malossi ECU 5518205 you can tune the following scooters:

  • Piaggio Zip iGET euro4
  • Piaggio Liberty S iGET
  • Vespa Sprint iGET euro4
  • Vespa Primavera iGET euro4

Suitable for moped and scooter models. Only for 50cc.

The air filter hose only fits the Vespa models. Malossi has not yet released an air hose for the Piaggio Zip. For that you can best order the original moped air filter hose for the iGET.
