The Castrol Power RS ​​10W-40 4T is the best fully synthetic engine oil for 4-stroke scooters. This oil is suitable for almost all 4-stroke scooters. Temporarily available for the lowest price in the Netherlands! Namely for only €9.99 per bottle.

This engine oil is recommended for almost all 4-stroke scooters on the Dutch market. Except Vespa/Piaggio. For Piaggio engine blocks 5W40 is recommended.

Replacing the oil filter on your scooter

Are you going to change the oil of your scooter? Then do not forget to mount a new oil filter. All the dirt and grinding remains in the filter, which should stay out of your oil. Changing the oil is simple and anyone can do it themselves. This can be done with normal tools that everyone has at home. You can order the oil filter for GY6 scooters cheaply in our webshop.

Why change the oil on your scooter?

Changing the oil is the most important maintenance you need to do on your scooter. Engine oil cools, lubricates and cleans the engine block. If the engine oil is too old, it can cause a lot of wear. Too little oil is even more dangerous!

What happens if you drive with too little oil?

If there is too little oil in the engine block, you have a big chance of a hot runner/seizure. This causes a lot of damage and is a very expensive repair. With a hot runner, the piston and cylinder become so hot that they expand and damage each other. You have a chance that your rear wheel will suddenly block or that the scooter will stall. When the engine is cold, the scooter does not give compression when kicking. It is therefore important that you regularly check the engine oil of the scooter! Never ride with too little oil in the block.

When should you change the oil?

Our interval advice for changing the oil of your scooter:

• 500 km
• 1,500 km
• 4,000 km
• Thereafter every 3,000 km or every 12 months.

Tip for assembly: Drive the scooter a bit before changing the oil. This makes the oil warm and thinner, making it easier to get it out of the block.
