100 days warranty
All products in our webshop (with the exception of electronic products) come with a 100-day warranty.
We stand behind our products and deliver quality! And that is why we dare to give a 100 day guarantee on our products.
Does a product that you ordered in our webshop not work properly? Then you can make a claim under the guarantee up to 100 days after the order date. We will provide a replacement product, free repair or refund the money. However, this is only the case if it is because the product is defective. This could be a product that is damaged or incomplete. If this is the case, then you should contact us as soon as possible with proof such as a photo or video. We will do our best to solve the problem as well and quickly as possible.
Assembly errors excluded
If you have not yet mounted the product, it is important to wait with that. This way, an assembly error is excluded. If you receive a damaged sticker set, we expect a notification before the product is mounted. If you stick on the sticker set, we assume that you agree with the product received and that there are no problems.
It is not possible to file a complaint about a damaged or incomplete product after installation, if the problem was already visible before installation. Why? It often happens that a customer damages the product themselves during installation and then invokes the warranty. We cannot process these requests. We cannot check the defect if the product has already been installed.
Electrical products
There is never a guarantee on electrical products. Examples of electronics are: lamps, voltmeters, digital meters, USB chargers and other products that work on electricity.
We always test our electronic products when packing an order. This is an extra check to ensure our quality and so that defective products are never accidentally shipped. In addition, all orders are packed very carefully, so that the chance of damage during transport is zero. If you have unexpectedly received a defective item, a report must be made within 14 days of receipt.
Why is there no warranty on this?
After installation, it is not possible to check what the cause of the defect is. Often, an installation error is the cause, and then it mainly concerns a short circuit or burnout because, for example, too much current flows to the electrical component. We cannot give any guarantee on this because it is not our fault.
What can you do about this?
First of all, you can always inspect the electrical products prior to installation test first for example on the battery of your scooter, this allows you to see whether the article works and which wires you need to connect to what.
LED headlights and angel eyes should be connected to a constant 12V voltage. LED lighting does not do well with alternating current, which can cause it to break. Our advice is therefore to connect an angel eye to the same cables as the LED daytime running lights of the indicators. For the Vespa and Zip i-GET scooters, this is on a cable that comes from the fuse box. Since there is a fuse in between, it should not blow.
Liability
The Scooter Shop delivers goods to consumers and companies, but does not assemble. You will have to do the assembly yourself or outsource it to a well-known or scooter shop (own preference). Since we only deliver goods, we are not liable for problems that arise from or after assembly of our products.
Below are the main points for which we are not liable.
- Theft
- Injury
- Assembly errors
- Factory warranty (of the vehicle)
- Violations of the law
To clarify the above points, some examples are given below.
- You ordered our reflectors in green and mounted them on the side panels of a Piaggio Zip. For this you get a fine from the police because the reflectors in the side panels must be yellow/orange according to the law. You are liable for this yourself.
- During installation you adjust the wiring harness which has caused a short circuit, causing the scooter to no longer function as it used to.
We are not liable for installation errors, so you are liable for this yourself.
- You bought an alarm or GPS tracker from us and installed it in your scooter. Now your scooter has been stolen, despite the fact that you had an alarm on your scooter. An alarm is no guarantee that your scooter will not be stolen, and a GPS tracker is no guarantee that your scooter can be found.
