Description
Connection cables for connecting the LED daytime running lights to your ignition or taillight. Cable from 1 to 2 with plugs.
With these cables you connect the LED indicators to 12V DC, so that the lights come on as soon as you turn the key. Used for almost all LED indicators for Vespa and Piaggio scooters.
Installation manual for electrical cable with split
Connecting the cable at the front of Vespa Sprint/Primavera and Piaggio Zip:
The cable goes from 1 to 2 wires by means of a T-junction.
You connect the single side to:
- The white wire at your ignition switch (only on carburetor models with kickstarter).
- The white or orange wire from your fuse holder at your glove compartment (only on injection models without kickstarter)
The 2 wires of the split go to both turn signals. 1 to the left turn signal and 1 to the right. You can click them plug & play in the plugs of the turn signals if it is good.
If all goes well, the white LED daytime running lights will now turn on as soon as you turn the key. The cable then has 12V DC voltage and that is important for LED.
For the rear of Vespa Sprint/Primavera and Piaggio Zip
You connect the single side of the wire to the rear light. If it is correct, there is a loose wire on an LED rear light for the LED daytime running lights. You can click this wire in there.
Do you have 2 wires on the rear light? Then 1 wire is for the daytime running light and 1 for the brake light. So then you can also connect the brake light to the turn signals.
If it is correct, both indicators will burn constantly on 1 wire. On the other wire, the indicators will only burn when you press the brake. That is the wire for the brake light. Only use if you have LED indicators that also have 2 wires. Then you have to try them: when the brake light is on, the indicators should burn brighter. If this does not happen, you have to swap the wires. Usually the red wire on the indicators and rear light is the brake light.
