Why change the oil on your scooter?
Changing the oil is the most important maintenance you need to do on your scooter. Engine oil cools, lubricates and cleans the engine block. If the engine oil is too old, it can cause a lot of wear. Too little oil is even more dangerous, because then your engine block has no lubrication and everything breaks down.
When should you change the oil?
Our interval advice for changing the oil of your scooter:
- 500 km
- 1,500 km
- 4,000 km
- Thereafter every 3,000 km or every 12 months.

Replacing the oil filter on your scooter
Are you going to change the oil of your scooter? Then don't forget to mount a new (original!) oil filter. All the dirt and grinding remains in the filter, which should stay out of your oil.
Changing the oil is easy and anyone can do it themselves. This can be done with normal tools that everyone has at home.
