Oil sump Vespa & Piaggio Zip black
Oil sump cover for all Vespa and Piaggio 4-stroke scooters in gloss and matt black
This oil sump cover is professionally sprayed in black and is suitable for the Vespa Sprint, Primavera, LX50, S, Piaggio Fly, Zip and more.
Don't forget to order the original oil pan gasket! You'll need this to prevent oil leaks. You can never transfer an old gasket.
Tip! Since you're draining the oil from the scooter anyway, do an oil change at the same time. So, order a new, genuine oil filter and 1L of 5W40 engine oil at the same time.
How do you install the black oil sump cover on a Vespa or Piaggio 4-stroke scooter?
Installing the oil pan is easier than most customers think. We explain it step by step below, but Zandri also has a comprehensive installation video on YouTube.
- Remove the engine oil from the scooter. The oil drain plug is located to the left of the oil pan. You can easily remove it with a socket wrench.
- Make sure all the engine oil is drained from the scooter and, if possible, install a new oil filter . You can order one inexpensively.
- Once the oil filter and drain plug are properly reinstalled, you can remove the crankcase cover and then the sump. Do this using the crankcase bolts in a size 8 socket.
- Transfer the gasket to the new black oil pan cover and place the cover back on the scooter. Make sure you tighten it crosswise.
- Fill the scooter with fresh engine oil. We sell the very best engine oil for Vespa and Piaggio 4-stroke scooters in our webshop. This is Castrol 5W40 Power RS .
- Check for oil leaks and then replace the crankcase cover on the engine block. Secure it crosswise with the crankcase bolts.
The oil pan is suitable for the following 4-stroke scooters:
- Vespa Sprint
- Vespa Primavera
- Vespa LX
- Vespa LXV
- Vespa S
- Piaggio Fly
- Piaggio New Fly
- Piaggio Zip
Do you have one of the scooters listed above and is it a 4-stroke? Then this oil pan will fit. It also fits iGET Euro 4 and Euro 5 models.
Is your scooter due for maintenance?
Tip! This is a perfect time to perform a maintenance check. Besides replacing the oil filter and engine oil, you can also replace the V-belt, vario rollers, vario guides, and gear oil. After all, you're already busy.
