Jet 4-stroke carburetor size 70 to 86 (fits Piaggio/Vespa and GY6)
Want to buy a jet for a 4-stroke carburetor?
The best setting for a Piaggio/Vespa scooter with 45km or unlimited CDI is a size 80 jet in combination with 6.5 gram vario rollers.
About this sprinkler:
Suitable for almost all 4-stroke scooters including China 4T Retro/LX/GY6 scooters, Piaggio, Vespa, Kymco, Sym and Peugeot.
What is a sprinkler for?
In this case we are talking about the main jet in a carburetor. This jet is a small screw with a hole in the middle. With this screw you determine how much fuel goes to the carburetor. In general, it is better to mount a jet that is slightly too large than a jet that is too small. A jet that is too large provides too much fuel, which is not very harmful. But a jet that is too small ensures that your scooter does not have good combustion and can also cause damage. In addition, your scooter will not start or will start poorly.
An original Piaggio/Vespa 4T 2V has the following jet:
- Year of construction from 2000 to 2005, the original nozzle size is 78
- From 2016 onwards, the original jet size is 75
These jets are both too small, which means your scooter gets too little fuel. The advice is to mount size 80, which is why we hardly sell any other sizes of jets. With the right size jet, the scooter will accelerate better, achieve a high top speed and run nice/quietly.
You replace the jet in your carburetor. If you have the parts loose, I advise you to clean the entire carburetor and spray the jets with brake cleaner, for example. You only need a Phillips and flathead screwdriver. No other tools, so anyone can easily do this themselves.
