Want to tune your Vespa Sprint, Primavera or Piaggio Zip injection?

This tuning package is suitable for tuning the following scooters:

  • Piaggio Zip 4t 3v - euro4 and euro5 (iget, injection 25km)
  • Vespa Sprint - euro4 and euro5 (iget, injection 25km)
  • Vespa Primavera - euro4 and euro5 (iget, injection 25km)

How do you tune a Vespa Sprint, Primavera or Piaggio Zip?

The latest injection scooters from Vespa and Piaggio Zip are increasingly more economical and quieter. This makes tuning more difficult.
A standard/new Vespa Sprint, Primavera or Piaggio Zip runs on average 25 to 29 km/h.

If you want to tune an iget scooter, you must first install other rollers (variator rollers) and a smooth variobus (variator bush). These injection scooters no longer have a separate variator ring, but a variobus with a fixed thickening. The heavier the rollers, the higher the top speed. This is at the expense of the pulling power. The best adjustment (high top speed and a lot of pulling power) is with 8.0 gram rollers, as supplied in this tuning package.

When installing this tuning package, specially composed by De Scooter Shop, the scooter will have a lot more power, pulling power and a higher top speed. The scooter will drive about 40 km/h and accelerate much faster.

Don't want any problems on the roller bench? Then you can use the varioring, with which you can limit the scooter around 34 km/h.
How fast is your scooter allowed to drive for the police? On average, the scooter is allowed to drive a maximum of 32 to 34 km/h on GPS speed (depending on your weight, having a windshield and other circumstances). Note: it is better to let the scooter drive too slowly than too fast!

With this booster package you will receive the following products:

  • Smooth variobus for Piaggio/Vespa
  • Variator roller set 19×15.5 mm
  • Varioring 2 + 3 mm to lower the scooter to the maximum permitted speed (optional)

How many grams of vario rollers do I need?

  • Vespa Sprint/Primavera & Zip iGET 4t 3v moped standard with smooth variobus: 8.0 or 8.3 grams rolling (approx. 40 km/h)
  • Vespa Sprint/Primavera & Zip iGET 4t 3v with moped, Malossi or THNDR ECU or limiter without Malossi variator: 6.5 grams rolling
  • Vespa Sprint/Primavera & Zip iGET 4t 3v with moped, Malossi or THNDR ECU or limiter with Malossi variator: 7.5 grams of rolling

For a standard Vespa Sprint, Primavera or Piaggio Zip, we recommend the 8.0 gram vario rollers from Bobotech. With these vario rollers you have a good balance between a fast acceleration and a high top speed. In addition, these vario rollers are cheaper than the LeoVince rollers. Do you want the highest possible top speed? Then you are better off taking the 8.3 gram vario rollers from LeoVince. In addition, these vario rollers are of the highest quality on the market.

To replace the vario rollers and place a smooth vario bush, you must disassemble the crankshaft nut. To loosen the crankshaft nut, you need an impact nut or vario blocking key. You can order this vario blocking key for Vespa/Piaggio at the same time at De Scooter Shop .
