Unlimited CDI 6-pin for China 4T scooters
Fast CDI unit for almost all China/GY6 scooters. Check to be sure if you have the same CDI connection in your scooter. This CDI has a connection for 2 plugs, a large 4-pin plug and a narrow 2-pin plug.
CDI unrestricted for GY6 4-stroke
This CDI fits many scooters with a GY6 engine block. Among others suitable for almost all China LX models. These are the Vespa lookalike scooters, such as AGM VX50, BTC Riva and La Souris.
How do you install a CDI on your scooter?
In most GY6 scooters the CDI is slid onto the frame of the scooter by means of a rubber. Remove the CDI from the rubber so that you can reach it easily. Then pull both plugs out of the CDI. Note, you have to push the clamps aside on the sides to be able to remove the plugs.
Press the plugs into the new CDI and place it in the rubber on the frame. Then it is important to check the electrical wire that runs to the crankcase cover/rear wheel. If this is clicked apart, the scooter runs without restrictions. If it is clicked together, the scooter limits itself based on the CDI. If you then install a 25 km CDI, the scooter will run 25 km/h. With the wire disconnected, the scooter does not respond to the CDI.
