How can you tell if your tires are worn?
- The tire is older than 5 years.
- The tire is old/dried out, causing cracks in the rubber.
- The tire has little to no tread left.
- The tire is no longer round but has bumps or damage, for example.
- The tire is worn unevenly and not on the tread where it should be.
- A plug was once shot in to temporarily seal a leak.
- The scooter no longer rides well/comfortably.
What do you notice when your tires are worn?
If your tires are worn or have an unusual shape (for example, an egg shape or bulge), you'll notice your scooter no longer rides smoothly and comfortably. Especially in corners, the scooter can feel unstable and may pull to one side. Reduced tread also means less grip, resulting in a longer braking distance. This is not only dangerous for your own safety, but also for others. Prevent dangerous situations and damage to your scooter by replacing your tires in time. Better too soon than too late, because an accident will be much more expensive than a new set of tires.
